Re-posting Videos and Video Posts:
Desktop browser: Paste media URL in post, will often automatically post with thumbnail and description
Mobile Phone Browser: Pasting URLs of videos will often only show the hyperlinked URL. This works fine, but if you want to video to show up in a player ready for viewing, it is best to download the video to your device, and then upload the video file to your post, as long as the video is in mp4 format. Other video formats are not currently supported.
Example: Re-posting Tiktok Videos from Mobile Devices:
Android
– Use the “download” feature in the TikTok app on an android device will download the video in mp4 format
– Upload the file to your post and it will appear in a media player ready for viewing.
Apple (iPhone, iPad):
– Apple devices download TikTok videos in an unsupporte3d format (HEVC). Use online tools available to first download the video in mp4 format, then upload the mp4 file to your post.
